Iboru Iboya Ibochiche. Once, Olofi was angry with his children and he cut off the water supply. They were dying of thirst, because there was no rain. The Orisha gathered together to visit Olofi and ask for forgiveness, but he was so far up in the sky that it was impossible to get to him. Oshún transformed herself into a vulture (aura tiñosa) and flew away up into the sky. When she arrived she was so thirsty that she started drinking water from a stagnant pond. When Olofi saw that he felt sorry and forgave his children sending them water little by little to avoid fatalities. For that reason when the Orishas get manifest on earth, they arrive thirsty and we offer them clear fresh water so they can give us blessings. Onareo
